Seventh Generation Cleaning Products
Seventh generation cleaning products are one of the few homemade cleaning products that are available now in the market today. They are very effective to be use in cleaning furnitures but its not harmfull to the environment, you can stock them on kitchen cabinets but cannot be placed together with a DVD cleaning products to avoid mixing of the two products.

Green Cleaning – Ways to Clean That Are Friendly to the Environment
Before you pick up your Mom’s old stand by kitchen cleaner, do yourself and the environment a favor and look at the ingredients. A lot of traditional cleaners don’t even list theirs, and that is bad. I mean, do you want to put an unknown all over your kitchen or bathroom? It’s not that hard to do green cleaning, and I can tell you how.
Just by looking at the list of ingredients you can tell if the product is green. Look for cleaning products that have no chlorine or ammonia in them. You may think that because chlorine and ammonia smell strong they are good for cleaning but you need to realize that that smell pollutes your air for longer than you can really smell it. It fills your lungs with an unhealthy mix that contains organochlorines that have been shown in studies to cause cancer, reproductive disorders, hormone changes, neurological problems, and immune system disorders.
Ya, they smell bad for a reason, they are bad for you! Another down side to these old time cleaners is that they are in containers that are not eco-friendly. So what is a green cleaning person to do?
Seventh Generation makes cleaning products that are eco-friendly and are in containers that are recyclable. You can find Seventh Generation products in many grocery stores and at Whole Foods stores. Another eco-friendly cleaning brand is Method. Method’s cleaning products don’t contain chemicals that degrade the dirt, but use naturally derived surfactants that absorb the dirt. Another brand that is environmentally friendly is Planet.
Not all of these brands list their ingredients on the container. This is not an attempt to hide anything from you, but it’s more an issue of keeping the container very minimalistic in design. Rest assured that you can find a list of all the ingredients on their websites.
Some people swear by white vinegar. Ok…it does a great job cleaning glass and leaves your windows streak-free, but the smell is a bit off-putting. I really don’t recommend using it to clean your whole kitchen or bathroom unless you have nothing else to use, and you and your family plan on not being home for a few hours while the smell dissipates.
Now comes the rather nontraditional idea. Vodka. You read it right, I said vodka. Vodka is almost pure alcohol, it kills germs, and it doesn’t smell. I’m not suggesting you go out and buy a bottle of Grey Goose to clean your bathroom, just buy the cheapest stuff out there and use it to clean every non-porous surface in the bath and the kitchen. It works, it’s cheap, it’s green, and the container can be glass which makes green cleaning even easier.
You can keep your kitchen and bathroom clean and healthy by green cleaning without spending a lot of money.
